Registered Nurse - Urology

Holmesglen Private Hospital Moorabbin is looking to employ a Registered Nurse with experience for it's Urology Clinic. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.

The Hospital includes; 147 beds across 5 wards providing Medical, Surgical and Rehabilitation Services, combined Intensive care and Coronary care unit, Emergency Department, 7 Operative suites, Catheter Laboratory, Day of Surgery Admission and Day Infusion/Oncology Services.
As a Registered Nurse you will be supporting our Urological Consultants and ward staff. The role involves:
- Flow rates, residuals, continence education, passage of sounds (surgeon in attendance for males
- Providing evidenced based nursing care
- Driving clinical outcomes
- Ensuring patient and staff safety
- Pre-operative and post-operative visits to patients post major urological surgery
- Trial of Voids, wound checks, staple or stitch removals, catheter changes as well as hormone and Firmagon injections
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Specialty nursing experience - Minimum 2 years experience in Urology
- Proven track record in providing clinical direction in Urology
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Ability to problem solve and work within a changing environment

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025" (salaries range between $34.22 and $48.32 per hour).
