Enrolled Nurse - Admissions

About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our Day Surgery Unit team (admissions and discharge) on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. This is an excellent opportunity to develop versatility in your skill set and to be mentored by a dedicated team of Registered and Senior Nurses.

-       6, 8, and 10 hours shifts available – shifts between 5:30am – 7:30pm Monday to Friday – no on call or weekends.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As an Enrolled Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

·       Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN

·       Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs

·       Act as a role model for Safe Practice

·       Administer medications according to state law and organisation policy

·       Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

Essential Criteria:

·       Current Registration with AHPRA

·       Minimum 1-year acute experience

·       Med and IV endorsed 

·       Commitment to quality patient care

·       Compliance with ACSQHC National standards

·       Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent communication and customer service skills

·       Works well independently and within a team
