Registered Nurse - Rehab
About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Rehabilitation ward on a part time basis. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established surgical nursing team. We have two roles available:
- Registered Nurse (12-month maternity leave cover) - 64 hours per fortnight
- Registered Nurse - Permanent part-time - 56 hours per fortnight

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As a Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation your responsibilities will include:
- Provide evidenced based nursing care to patients undergoing our Orthopaedic and other surgical procedures
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary teams
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver high quality patient care
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting
- Experience in a Rehab ward preferred
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
