About the role
Knox Private Hospital is currently seeking professional and customer focused Supply Officer to join the busy team of professionals on a casual basis. We offer a supportive atmosphere and an extensive education program so you get to grow in your role and achieve work-life balance.
This role requires an amount of physical activity and the use of motorised equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer/patient service by replenishing hospital areas
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct.
- Maintain standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities.
- Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
Essential Criteria
- Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget.
- Thorough Knowledge of Receiving and Receipting processes
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Proven time management and problem solving ability
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One) (Desirable)
- Previous experience in a similar role (Desirable)
- Medical product knowledge (Desirable)
About the hospital
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with over 250 beds, providing Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including two twenty-four-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
The hospital has 13 theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery.
Specialised wards include two orthopaedic wards, two cardiac and dedicated medical and specialty surgical wards.
