Respiratory Lab Technician - PT
Northern Beaches Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Respiratory lab technician to start ASAP!
As a Respiratory Lab Technician your responsibilities will include:
- Day to day activities within the Pulmonary Function Laboratory (PFT Lab) Checking lists of patients against doctors’ requests
- Calibrating the equipment before use, following up on any potential problems with the relevant stakeholders
- Conducting pulmonary function tests and all other activities within the Laboratory in accordance with the policies & procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining Laboratory equipment
- Assisting with filing of reports

- Min 1 yr prior experience in a similar role
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care, Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- High level organisational skills to meet time constraints
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with laboratory accreditation
- ANZSRS membership
