Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Gold Coast Private Hospital are expanding our dynamic and supportive team and are seeking motivated RN’s who want to grow their clinical expertise in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.
As a Registered Nurse working within our Cath Labs, you will be part of a collaborative team that operates across three theatres. Our Cath Lab is unique in that we work across multiple specialties within one integrated service — covering Cardiac, Vascular, Electrophysiology (EP), Neurointerventional and Interventional Radiology procedures.

About the role
As a Registered Nurse working within our Cath labs, you will be a part of a supportive team that operate across our three theatres, covering Cardiac, Vascular and Electrophysiology procedures.
In this role your duties will include:
Provide high quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures
Work collaboratively with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular surgeons, neurointerventional specialists and interventional radiologists, along with the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective patient outcomes
Respond confidently to acute and emergency situations within the Cath Lab environment
Prepare, operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment in line with clinical and safety standards
Support safe patient flow through admission, procedural and recovery phase
Provide clear pre‑ and post‑procedure education to patients and their families
Participate in quality improvement activities, audits and professional development
Mentor and support junior nurses and students within the clinical environment
Essential Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Nursing, Critical Care, or ability and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute procedural environment
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred care
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Ability to meet on‑call requirements with appropriate response time

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Queensland - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $41.49 and $52.97 per hour + superannuation)
