About the opportunity
Join the friendly team at Melbourne Private Hospital as a Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Scrub Scout. We’re looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Angiography team on a full-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive and dynamic team environment, whilst ensuring exceptional patient focused care is being delivered.
Melbourne Private Hospital have provided a range of acute medical and surgical healthcare services to our community for over 20 years. We are a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. We now have a designated train station Parkville right on our doorstep, making travel to and from work car and stress free. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
As a Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Scrub Scout, your responsibilities will include:
Provide safe and high quality pre, intra and post-operative nursing care to our patients
Scrub/scout for interventional cardiac procedures; angiograms, PCI, IVUS, and Shockwave
Scrub/scout for structural heart procedures; TAVI, PFO and ASD
Scrub/scout for EP and pacing cases
Essential Criteria:
Authority to Work in Australia
Minimum 12 months experience as an RN – Cardiac Cath Lab Scrub Scout
Working with Children check (if relevant)
Valid Police check
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
Proof of vaccination and serology relevant for working in a BBFE
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2025 (salaries range between $39.34-$51.51 per hour)
