An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Service team.
About the Role
As a Health Information Services Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation, scanning and quality assurance of medical records
- Provision of health information to internal and external clients
- Completing hospital ward rounds to collect notes in a timely manner for scanning
- Filing of paperwork
- Auditing and culling of scanned documents
- Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
- Participating in performance improvement activities
- Assist the department where required in other areas, such as administrative duties.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working in a Medical Records Department with the responsibility of maintaining patient records and associated documents
- Demonstrated computer literacy including electronic patient administration systems and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated high standard of organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and achieve deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in scanning records
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work
- Demonstrated skills in health information management systems
