Administration Officer

We have vacancies for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work alongside our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital’s Admissions and Wards. As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:
Performing a broad range of administration duties including:
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Answer and redirect calls
- Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
- Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Perform Health Fund Checks (as required)
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
- Ensuring efficient functioning of our Administration
As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include:
- Greet all customers
- Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
- Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities such as prostheses billing
- Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
- Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care under the supervision of Nurse Managers
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in administrative tasks with customer focused approach to service delivery
- Proven flexibility and reliability
- Proven effective communication and liaison skills
- Demonstrated written communication skills
- Initiative and ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multi-disciplinary environment, treats everyone with courtesy and respect, respond positively to requests for assistance
- Ability to use patient information and record systems and a commitment to patient confidentiality
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn and use patient management systems and databases

Lady Davidson Private Hospital is one of the largest private dedicated rehabilitation hospitals in Australia affiliated as a teaching hospital with Sydney and Macquarie Universities. With 115 inpatient rehabilitation beds, the hospital has been designed to promote rehabilitation through our inpatient programs.
Selection Criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Works well independently and within a team
- WebPas Hospital system experience (desired)
- Medical Secretary Experience (desired)
